The signed booking form must accompany your deposit of 25% of the total trip cost or the full amount if less than 8 weeks prior to departure. The contract is binding on receipt of your cheque. The balance of the trip price must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to departure. Clients who do not pay the invoice at the due time are liable to have their trip cancelled and appropriate charges levied plus an administration charge.
2. The Company's responsibility
- The company will use its best endeavour to provide the trip in accordance with the booking. If for any reasons beyond its direct control the company has to cancel the trip accommodation a suitable alternative will be arranged. If the alternative is not acceptable a full refund will be made and the company shall accept no further liability. In the case of force majeur causing the company to cancel any trip, such as war, strikes etc the company reserves the right to deduct their reasonable expenses from any refund given.
- In certain circumstances, it may be necessary for the company to change any of the trip arrangements. This is only done where absolutely necessary, and if in the opinion of the Company the quality of the trip is adversely affected, the Company will offer compensation, but shall be under no further liability.
If after the company has dispatched written details of your booking, you wish to alter any of the arrangements made, the Company will endeavour to accommodate your request and a charge of £10 to £40 per person will be made, depending on charges made to us.
4. Cancellation Charges
If for any reason you have to cancel your trip then the person who signed the booking form must write to the Company by recorded delivery or registered post. The cancellation will have deemed to take effect on receipt of the notification.
If you have to cancel your trip, you will be charged in accordance with the following scale:
Between 4 to 8 weeks prior to departure - 50% charge
Less than 4 weeks prior to departure - 100% charge
Cancellation charges are sometimes reclaimable on your insurance policy. Name changes are considered as an amendment.
5. Surcharges
The company reserves the right to apply a surcharge on the original price of the holiday, prior to 30 days before departure. This will apply in circumstances such as currency exchange fluctuations. Not all holidays will be subject to surcharges as some are not settled in the local currency. If you cancel within 7 days of receipt of the surcharge notice we will withold your deposit and no further payments will apply. If the surcharge exceeds 10% of the original price you will be entitled to a full refund or transfer the amount already paid to an alternative holiday.
If the full balance of the holiday has been paid before the surcharge notice is received you will still have the option to cancel your holiday within 7 days of receipt of the surcharge notice and we will refund 75% of the full amount paid.
6. Inventory Deposits
Most villa owners require a deposit of £200 to cover the cost of breakages, this will be added to your final invoice. The deposit will be refunded to you usually within 2 weeks of your return, once a satisfactory inspection has been conducted by the owner or their local representative. Please respect the owner’s property, as for many it is their second home and you may wish to return next year.
7. Website Accuracy
All information on our website has been compiled from up to date details and we have taken care to ensure that it is accurate. There may be times however when an advertised facility is either modified or not available. Such situations may be dictated by local circumstances, necessity for maintenance, water shortages, unsuitable weather conditions, fuel shortages, power cuts and other circumstances beyond our control. If we are advised of this we will inform you as soon as possible, but we cannot be held liable in such circumstances. It is important to remember that some facilities, such as beach restaurants, water sports and water parks may not operate at all times of the season.
8. Services and Resort Facilities
We neither own nor operate any resorts or car-hire companies whose services are offered as part of your trip. We take care in selecting all relevant parts of your trip but we cannot be held responsible for any injury, death, loss or damage caused by the negligence of the management or employees of an independent contractor.
9. Villa Occupancy
The Villa is reserved only for people named on the booking form and the first named person is responsible for their reasonable behaviour and any damage caused. Extra people are allowed only with the Company's permission.
10. Telephone
The Telephone system in Portugal is less efficient than in the UK. Faults can sometimes take longer to repair. However we cannot offer compensation if a telephone is not working in a villa.
11. Clients' Responsibility
It is the clients' responsibility to ensure that all documentation is in order, passports are valid, and that their party arrives at the airport in good time. Please check everything carefully in good time and contact the Company for any additional help or advice.
12. General
The company reserves the right to amend these booking terms at any time and will advise clients of the changes where applicable.
Once again we strongly recommend that you have adequate travel insurance for you and your party at the time of booking.
